  1. 1 stick parve margarine or butter if you are going to serve them as dessert with milk meal.
  2. 1C light brown sugar
  3. ½C sugar
  4. 2 eggs, beaten
  5. ¾C flour
  6. 1C chocolate chips
  7. 1t baking powder
  8. ½t salt
  9. 1t vanilla
  10. ½C chopped pecans
  1. Cream the softened butter or margarine.
  2. Mix in the sugar, brown sugar and eggs.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the creamed butter and sugar.
  6. Add chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
  7. Mix thoroughly.
  8. Spoon the mixture into a 9x9 inch greased pan, spreading it out to the edges.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
  10. Cool and then cut into squares.
  1. is makes 16 squares. You can double the recipe and use a 9x12inch pan and bake for 35 minutes. Yummmm…
